Job Overview:

The Sustainability Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy in alignment with the business goals and stakeholder expectations. The role requires a strategic thinker who can lead and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the company's ESG initiatives are integrated into the core business operations and contribute to the long-term sustainability of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the company's ESG strategy in alignment with the business goals and stakeholder expectations
• Identify and prioritize ESG issues relevant to the telecommunications industry in Malaysia and globally, and develop plans to mitigate risks and capture opportunities
• Work closely with the sustainability team to integrate ESG considerations into the company's policies, processes, and procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute ESG-related projects, initiatives, and programs
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, customers, regulators, and NGOs, to understand their ESG expectations and concerns, and communicate the company's ESG performance and initiatives to them
• Monitor and report on the company's ESG performance, using relevant frameworks, standards, and metrics, and identify areas for improvement
• Provide guidance and support to the business units on ESG issues and initiatives
• Keep abreast of emerging ESG trends, best practices, and regulations, and integrate them into the company's ESG strategy and activities

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in sustainability, environmental management, business, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in ESG management, sustainability, or related fields, preferably in the telecommunications industry or a related sector
• Knowledge of ESG frameworks, standards, and metrics, such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, and SDGs
• Experience in developing and implementing ESG strategies, programs, and initiatives
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia
