Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Incoterms and import/export documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of shipments and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare and process additional shipping documents.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and elevate issues as needed.

Supply Chain & Trade Compliance Clerk
Job Description
About the Role

Provide support to the Supply Chain Compliance team by ensuring adherence to trade regulations, customs requirements, and internal policies. This role encompasses documentation management, coordination with logistics partners, and assistance with regulatory compliance for import and export activities.

Work Location

Onsite – Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare and process additional shipping documents such as (COO, OGA Permits, LOI’s, & Other Government related Documents for logistics & LMW).
  • Prepare, submit, and maintain regulatory documentation as required.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams for timely shipments on obtaining the documents and filing.
  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance programs and initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to Malaysian customs regulations and company compliance policies.
  • Assist LMW Specialist in HS Code classification and maintain product master data.
  • Support Strategic Trade Act (STA 2010) permits applications and documentation.
  • Support Compliance Team to Conduct basic screening for restricted parties and embargoed countries.
  • Maintain compliance records for audits and inspections.
  • Organize and file compliance and shipping documents for easy retrieval.
  • Maintain and update the electronic document management system, ensuring data integrity and easy access.
  • Prepare reports for internal audits and compliance reviews.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and elevate issues to the compliance team.
Qualifications
  • Education: Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in logistics, shipping, or compliance.
  • Knowledge: Malaysian Customs procedures and STA 2010 basics; Familiarity with Incoterms and import/export documentation.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; Good communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
