My client is a well-established international company and a recognized leader in industrial solutions. Currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join their team. This role reports to the Supply Chain Manager (SCM) and is responsible for overseeing three key functions: Procurement, Logistics, and Warehouse Management, ensuring they operate seamlessly to support both factory and sales operations. The position plays a vital role in ensuring the timely availability of materials and products at a cost-efficient level.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy, covering purchasing, warehouse, and logistics functions.
- Lead and optimize warehouse operations to improve team productivity, ensure timely order fulfillment, and meet customer material management requirements.
- Manage vendors for bonded warehouse space, service standards, and cost efficiency.
- Establish robust and efficient procurement policies to reduce costs and enhance supplier quality.
- Lead major supplier negotiations and key procurement activities, while building strong relationships with internal factories to ensure project pricing support and timely deliveries.
- Develop effective logistics planning and inventory forecasting processes to support production planning and project sales.
- Manage freight and logistics costs, ensuring on-time delivery within target cost levels.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to align supply chain operations with business growth objectives.
- Lead, motivate, and coach team members to achieve optimal performance and continuous process improvement.
- Ensure all supply chain activities comply with legal, regulatory, and company standards.
- Ad-hoc duties assigned by the company
Job Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Supply Chain, Logistic, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years of managerial experience in supply chain management within the logistics or manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record in work process improvements, vendor management and inventory planning.
- Experience and Knowledge with SAP System and strong command of MS Excel for data analysis and forecasting.
- Relevant management experience in Supply Chain / Warehouse & Logistic / Procurement will be added advantage
- Strong knowledge in Logistic process for import and export when dealing with related regulators, MIDA, MITI and etc
