Qualifications

• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP) and data analysis tools (Power BI) is preferred.

Job Responsibilities

The Supplier Chain Business Manager (SBM) is responsible for managing assigned suppliers for Power Box and Valued-Added Assembly (VAA) to ensure continuity of supply, operational excellence, and supplier performance in support of business objectives.

The SBM serves as the primary operational interface between internal stakeholders and suppliers, driving delivery performance, risk mitigation, inventory strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

At Lam, as a Supply Chain Business Manager, you play a crucial role in partnering with suppliers to drive operational excellence. Your data-driven approach ensures effective planning, scheduling, and monitoring material movement through our dynamic global production cycle. You’ll benchmark and monitor supplier performance to manage risk. By driving continuous supplier process improvements you support the productivity and efficiency of Lam's operations.

What you’ll do

• Own the operational relationship with assigned suppliers for Power Box and VAA and act as the primary point of contact for supply chain matters.


• Monitor and improve supplier performance through key metrics, including on-time delivery, consignment program, lead time, inventory, quality, and responsiveness.


• Drive supply continuity by proactively identifying risks, developing mitigation plans, and leading recovery actions to minimize business impact.


• Conduct regular supplier business reviews to assess operational health, capacity, demand readiness, and improvement opportunities.


• Collaborate with Commodity Management, Factory support, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to resolve supply chain challenges.


• Analyze Supply vs. Demand (SvD), backlog, forecast, and inventory data to identify risks and implement corrective actions.


• Drive supplier commitments, lead time reduction, inventory optimization, and fulfilment improvements.


• Lead escalation management for supply constraints, shortages, and delivery issues with suppliers and internal stakeholders.


• Ensure timely communication of supply risks, recovery plans, and business impacts to leadership.

Who we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.


• Minmum 10 years’ related experience in development, management, and improvement of supplier performance metrics such as OTD, Consignment and Leadtime.


• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, and data analysis tools are preferred.


• Excellent stakeholders’ management, negotiation, and solid written/oral communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with semiconductor or high-technology supply management practices, standards and organization would be a plus.


• Commodity experience and good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes in Power Box, VAA, Cables and Sheet metal fabrication.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. On-site Flex you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. Virtual Flex you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
