A global manufacturing firm in Malaysia seeks a Supply Chain Coordinator to lead supply chain readiness for new product development. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, a degree in Supply Chain Management or related fields, and strong analytical skills. This role requires effective collaboration with suppliers, cost management, and participation in NPD/NPI projects. Lead end-to-end supply chain readiness for new product development (NPD) and new product introduction (NPI) projects.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely readiness of materials, tooling, and processes for prototype, pilot, and mass production builds.
Track and report build readiness, highlighting potential risks and delays, and maintain project dashboards for cross-functional visibility.
Support BOM validation, cost roll-up, and cost tracking to ensure cost accuracy and alignment with sourcing targets.
Manage supplier quotations, purchase orders (POs), and cost models to achieve on-time material delivery and budget adherence.
Own cost accounting activities for new products from concept through production release, providing cost analysis and variance reports.
Prepare and manage POs for prototype builds, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving supply or logistics issues.
Collect, analyze, and report on sourcing metrics, supplier performance, and cost trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and supplier teams to achieve project objectives and resolve supply-related challenges.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and standardize project tools and reporting.
Monitor global sourcing trends and proactively address supply risks to ensure business continuity.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, program coordination, or cost analysis (preferably in manufacturing or engineering industries).
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
Experience with cost accounting, BOM management, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across global cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
