Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Analysts are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning, and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain as scheduled and maintain inventory at established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness, and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

Job Description

Implement purchase orders, manage the supply chain, and optimize purchasing channels and methods to ensure cost-effective, on-time delivery, and good service to internal and external customers within TE Penang purchasing policies and procedures.

Order Management

  • Based on customer orders, create Purchase Orders.
  • Follow up on order confirmation, on-time delivery, and the correct shipping method.
  • Escalate delivery issues to supervisor.
  • Demand management, forecasting, and full kit on FO shortage report to ensure on-time delivery to production.

Inventory Management

  • Plan, analyze, and manage high-value inventory consumption and scrap methods.
  • Handle EM15/20 reports, cancellations, or rescheduling in/out.
  • Lead internal supplier material localization efforts.
  • Rebalance inventory across affiliated plants to achieve ITO targets.

Supplier Management

  • Review supplier performance (cost, delivery, quality) monthly.
  • Draft action plans based on supplier performance results.
  • Participate in annual supplier audit meetings.
  • Work with sourcing teams to develop suppliers and set up consignment arrangements.
  • Improve supplier quality levels.

Others

  • Handle material returns and replacements.
  • Manage vendor payment exceptions.
