Job summary

A leading electronics manufacturer in Penang is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to assist the QA Manager with supplier quality issues and material compliance. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Quality Assurance, along with at least 3 years of experience in the EMS manufacturing industry. Proficiency in quality management tools and strong communication skills are essential for collaboration with suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and report to the QA Manager on routine quality issues.
  • Carry out initial analysis of quality problems from suppliers.
  • Ensure quality of incoming material complies with specifications.
  • Assist Sourcing department in assessing supplier's quality system.
  • Collaborate with supplier to reduce non-conforming parts.

Job description

To assist and report to the QA Manager on matters related to the routine supplier / incoming quality issue settlement

To carry out initial analysis of quality problem if detected from supplier site / incoming lot

To ensure quality of the incoming material is accordance to the material drawing / customer requirements

To assist Sourcing department in assessing supplier's quality system

To collaborate with supplier in the reduction of the number of non-conforming parts

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance or a related field

Minimum 3 years of experience in EMS manufacturing industry

Proficient in quality management tools and techniques, such as SPC, FMEA and root cause analysis

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers

Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to quality management
