Work as a key resource for the Sourcing teams to develop new supply base to improve cost competitiveness and be the conduit between the company and the supplier. Responsibilities will be including cross-functional stakeholders to qualify new components, supporting issues with current production, developing new suppliers to reduce cost, increase capacity, and auditing suppliers to ensure process conformance. Manage customer specific requirements and offer technical support. Work on multiple phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity, with results impacting on projection completion.
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates Technical skills in risk management and remediation.
- Communicates effectively with all Internal & External Stakeholders.
- Responsible for supporting objectives of the Team in terms of Quality, Cost, Delivery and Service.
- Identify and qualify new suppliers, including pre-assessment and performance monitoring for a specific period after onboarding.
- Conduct supplier performance audits to identify areas for improvement and develop/implement action plans to enhance quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
- Supports Continuous Improvement of Quality & Quality Systems, Service Capability and Total Cost of Ownership throughout the Supply Chain.
- Supports investigation of Material Quality issues as they arise. Works with Quality, Procurement & Business Development to resolve issues and disposition product.
- Works with Procurement, Supplier Quality Engineering, Receiving Inspection & Business Development to ensure that components meet established requirements.
- Ensures that adequate Corrective Actions are identified, implemented and controlled by Suppliers.
- Contributes to the development, maintenance and improvement of Supplier Management Policies and Procedures.
- Develops new Supply sources with Procurement Team.
- Assesses and Approves Supplier Requested Process Changes.
Requirements:
- Candidate required proses at least bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or related discipline with equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years’ work experience in Supplier Engineering role or similar field.
- Good knowledge of mechanical, fabrications, fabrication processes.
- Working knowledge and application of business and technical concepts, procedures and practices required for all aspects of Supplier Management.
- General knowledge of complimentary industry practices, techniques, and standards.
- Previous experience of managing changes from a supplier management perspective desirable.
- Able to travel on short notice and work independently.
