A leading medical device company in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Supplier Contract Management Specialist to drive strategic supplier contract management. You will analyze contract terms, monitor milestones, and ensure governance. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Law, with at least 3 years of experience in contract management. This role is responsible for driving strategic supplier contract management to extract commercial value, mitigate risks, and enable cross‑functional collaboration across Procurement, Legal, and Finance. The Specialist will analyze contract terms, monitor milestones, and ensure governance through centralized systems and scalable workflows.
The Global Supplier Alliance (GSA) team leads all procurement and supplier management activities across Direct and Indirect categories. Review, analyze, and interpret supplier contracts (existing and new) to identify commercial opportunities, risk exposures, and optimization levers.
Summarize key terms (pricing structures, service levels, renewal clauses, rebates, inflation triggers, etc.) into actionable insights for Procurement and Finance teams.
Monitor contract milestones, expiration dates, and renewal opportunities—proactively identifying risks and renegotiation triggers.
Partner closely with Legal to ensure consistency and compliance in contract structure and language.
Act as a business liaison between Procurement, Legal, and Finance—translating commercial intent into clear contractual expectations.
Support sourcing initiatives by providing contract visibility and risk summaries during supplier reviews and RFx processes.
Collaborate with Pricing and Category Managers to identify areas where contracts can deliver additional value (e.g., price reviews, volume thresholds, service level enforcement).
Drive post‑award value realization by tracking performance against contract terms and obligations.
Help build frameworks for consistent supplier contract evaluation, scoring, and benchmarking.
Maintain a centralized contract repository and tracking system with standardized metadata and reporting.
Help define and improve contract management workflows and governance frameworks.
Ensure all executed agreements are properly stored, cataloged, and accessible.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Law, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in supplier contract management, procurement support, or commercial operations—preferably in medical, manufacturing, technology, or other regulated industries.
Experience working with Legal teams or within contract governance frameworks.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate contract language into business implications.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
Familiarity with contract lifecycle management systems.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with reporting tools such as Power BI is a plus.
Strong communicator—comfortable engaging with Legal, Procurement, and senior stakeholders.
Self‑starter with curiosity to dig into documents and extract insights.
Process‑oriented with a desire to bring clarity, control, and continuous improvement.
