Job summary

DXN International in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team. The role involves venipuncture, capillary draws, patient verification, and sample handling under established protocols.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, completion of a phlebotomy training program, and certification. Strong communication, compassion, and meticulous safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Training: Completion of an accredited postsecondary phlebotomy training program.
• Certification: Valid Phlebotomy Technician certification (preferred or required by most employers).
• Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal communication, compassion, and patience.
• Technical Skills: Steady hand-eye coordination, detail-oriented mindset, and familiarity with lab safety rules

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks using appropriate medical equipment.
• Verify patient identification, answer questions, and comfort nervous or distressed patients.
• Accurately label, store, and process blood or other fluid samples (like urine) according to lab protocols.
• Enter patient information, test codes, and sample logs into electronic medical records or databases.
