Purpose of the Role
  • Structural Engineer is to provide engineering design support, ensuring the design, analysis and design procedures comply with the standards while coordinating with others team members to deliver safe and efficient construction design solutions.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Understand the basic structural analysis and to ensure the drawings output meet the target dateline while maintaining the quality of the drawings.
  • Preparing, producing and review details design engineering drawings, calculations, report and materials take-off. (panel layout, lifting bracing design, embedment and connections).
  • Design and execute engineering experiments to create workable solutions.
  • To review and guide juniors checking shops, architectural and structural drawing.
  • Assist in value engineering to optimize cost and construction speed.
  • Collaborating with cross-functioning teams to ensure designs meet safety.
  • Ensure compliance with all personal obligations under Health and Safety legislation and to adhere to Company H&S policies and procedures, whilst working and striving to improve the internal Safety Audit
  • Ensure the company is flexible in its approach to utilizing skills and knowledge in order to benefit the business when the need arises

Key Functional Competencies & Relevant Experience
  • Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural).
  • Registered with Board Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
  • 4+ years experience in structural design/detailing.
  • Familiar with AutoCAD, Revit workflows and model based coordination
  • Any lifting precast experience considered advantage especially Tilt-up/Precast construction.
  • Familiar with shop drawings workflows and structural detailing standards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes (ACI,ASCE,AISC and etc).
