Job Description

We are seeking a Strategic Territory Director reporting to the Senior Director of International Sales and Business Development and working closely with the International Sales and Business Development team. The Director will lead and execute the sales strategy across Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei, holding critical responsibility for territory development and revenue generation. This dynamic role blends business development, customer engagement, mentoring, and cross‑functional leadership.

Role and Responsibilities

Sales Leadership and Execution

  • Lead and execute a comprehensive sales strategy, planning, and execution for Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei.
  • Own the full sales lifecycle, including lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closing of complex deals.
  • Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key customers, resellers, and strategic stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with the company’s technology and long‑term growth goals.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics; maintain accurate CRM data for forecasting and pipeline management.

Market Strategy and Intelligence

  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis and stay current on local market conditions, geopolitical events, and economic trends to strategically position the company.
  • Monitor regional trends, threats, and competitor activity; share critical insights with leadership.
  • Forecast local procurement cycles and budget timelines to anticipate future demand.

Partner and Channel Management

  • Manage the network of sales partners, classifying them as strategic, tactical, or opportunistic and prioritizing those with access to core customer bases.
  • Identify and qualify new channel partner candidates through initial due diligence.
  • Ensure partners maintain high product knowledge and functional demonstration kits.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration and Representation

  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, product, marketing, support, and operations to ensure successful customer engagement and project fulfillment.
  • Gather and synthesize end‑user requirements to inform product development roadmaps.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, demonstrations, and strategic meetings; plan and execute local marketing activities.
  • Serve as the primary local point of contact for company management, engineering teams, and partners.
Basic Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience navigating complex defense regulatory environments, military procurement processes, or government contracting.
  • Secondary school (or equivalent) plus a minimum of 5 years in sales, business development, or account management.
  • Proven success selling MANET, wireless communications, or tactical radio technologies.
  • Strong track record in military, defense, or public safety sales environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Leadership experience, including mentoring or team management.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Post‑secondary education or Bachelor’s in business, engineering, communications, or related field.
  • Understanding of MANET ecosystems, competitive landscape, and customer mission needs.
  • Strong technical aptitude in tactical communications and RF networking.
  • Previous program management in high‑performance sales environments.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
  • Remote‑based with up to 50% travel, including heavier periods, to customer engagements, corporate events, trade shows, and demonstrations.
  • Work may be performed in office settings, field demos, and trade show venues.
  • Outdoor environments for demos.
  • Lifting equipment up to 20 lbs for demonstration setup and testing.
  • Occasional exposure to heat, cold, and allergens during field tests.
