Job summary

Dyson GmbH in Malaysia seeks an Outsourced Procurement Manager to lead commercial contracts, cost negotiations and supplier relations with Tier 1 manufacturers. You will drive cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Project teams to achieve targets and optimise costs.

The role requires a degree in Engineering and 7+ years in procurement within a manufacturing/engineering setting, with strong communication, planning and analytics skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering with at least 7 years’ experience within the procurement function.
• Strong commercial background within a Manufacturing/ Engineering environment.
• Experienced in dealing with EMS, CM vendors.
• Strong understanding and experience of Global procurement & legal regulations.
• Excellent communicator; able to present updates and challenges clearly in spoken, written, and presentation settings.
• Excellent problem-solving skills that can be applied in various settings.
• Capable in planning and project management.
• Strong business acumen with advanced data analytics skills.
• Comfortable with a fast-paced and intellectually challenging work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial contracts, cost and claim negotiations with Tier 1 suppliers.
• Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure smooth operations with manufacturing partners.
• Be the primary liaison to manage Dyson’s relationship with suppliers and drive timely delivery.
• Lead internal and external meetings to align on targets and actions.
• Provide strategic guidance to management for effective business and operational decisions.
• Coach junior team members and drive cost negotiations, savings, and optimisations.
• Deliver negotiations and revisions for new and existing Tier 1 suppliers.
• Escalate and resolve issues promptly while maintaining Dyson’s best interests.
