Job summary

Evonik Malaysia seeks a proactive Finance Controller to strengthen cost reduction and performance measurement at the site level in Selangor. You will focus on product costing, op ex spending and open dialogue with management to drive growth, restructuring and efficiency.

You will interface with financial services, site management and department managers. The role emphasizes collaboration with tax, auditors and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data, timely closes and compliant reporting.

Qualifications

• Focus on product costing and operational plant spending.
• Monitor variances and drive cost reductions.
• Support planning, budgeting and monthly close processes.
• Provide data analytics reporting for decision making.

Responsibilities

• Support development and management of annual operating and capital budgets for assigned site(s).
• Participate in month end closing to ensure accruals, variances and financial data accuracy.
• Monitor process orders, analyze production variances and implement corrective actions.
• Lead improvement tasks and ensure consistent execution at site(s).
• Act as site contact for tax and auditors.
• Communicate changes from business decisions to site management and financial services.
• Analyze trends using primary data sources and ensure data system utilization.
• Coordinate data/analytics reporting for site outputs.
