Job summary

Plexus Corp. in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a seasoned Purchasing leader to define and drive the strategy and performance of the site’s Purchasing department, aligning with regional and corporate objectives.

You will mentor MTM, DA and buyers, oversee the total materials procurement and planning process, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective contingency plans and sustained Plexus Core Values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of related experience preferred; equivalent combinations considered.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Detail oriented with high accuracy.
• Self-starter able to work without constant direction.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple functional groups.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced Excel; proficient in Google Workspace or MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Escalation level for MTM on customer/materials issues.
• Oversee the total materials (procurement and planning) process.
• Mentor/coaching to MTM, DA and buyers to meet customer demands and Plexus metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure contingency plans.
• Lead development and coaching to realize employees' potential while upholding Plexus Core Values.
