Job summary

Veeco is seeking a Commodity Manager to lead strategy development and execution across assigned commodities in a Penang-based role. You will work across functions to shape supplier capabilities, drive cost improvements, and ensure quality and delivery targets are met.

The position requires extensive purchasing and strategic sourcing experience, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration and supplier risk management. This is an on-site role in Penang, Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business; MBA is a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in purchasing.
• Minimum 3 years in supply chain / strategic sourcing; APICS or CPM certification highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead commodity strategies and cross-functional teams to optimize spend and delivery.
• Analyze market trends, cost drivers, supplier capability, and lead times.
• Negotiate terms to optimize total cost, quality, delivery, and service levels.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance, and risk across categories.
• Collaborate with multiple functions to align procurement with corporate objectives.
