Job summary

Maxvalue Management and Services Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced tax professional to support corporate tax planning and strategic budgeting. The role focuses on advising on Malaysian tax laws, forecasting, and evaluating tax implications for decisions and investments.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting/finance with 3+ years in corporate taxation, ACCA/CPA qualification, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years in corporate roles, taxation or tax planning.
• ACCA/CPA qualification is an added advantage.
• Sound knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, IRB guidelines, and SST framework.
• High attention to detail and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Highly organized, result-oriented, and deadline-driven.
• Good time management and proactive in identifying urgent issues.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize materials/presentations for meetings attended by the COO, ensure timely distribution and follow-up as required.
• Prepare and submit business performance strategic reports.
• Produce business proposals or reports and assemble and analyze findings and data.
• Assist in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and business plans, including support management in tax forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow planning
• Anticipate the needs of the COO and proactively address potential issues or opportunities.
• Support the COO in maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency in daily operations.
• Evaluate tax implications of business decisions, investments, and new projects.
• Provide advice on corporate tax, withholding tax, and indirect tax matters.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the management.
