A leading cable manufacturer in Malacca city is seeking an Inventory Specialist responsible for handling goods and maintaining inventory records. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience and a minimum SPM. Key responsibilities include inventory management, updating records, and ensuring compliance with SOPs. Effective communication and the ability to work under pressure are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Able to generate official documents such as delivery orders.

Responsibilities

• Proper storage and handling of goods to avoid damage.
• Maintain good inventory accuracy through cycle audits.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Proper storage and handling of goods and equipment to avoid damage/quality deterioration/pilferage.
• Issue goods upon request with proper documentation.
• Update receiving and issuance records daily
• Filing of all daily requisition.
• Maintain good inventory accuracy
• Conduct cycle audit
• Ensure all SOPs compliance
• Assist to scrap the cables when needed
• Maintain good housekeeping standard and adhere to all safety rules.
• assist supervisor on daily jobs.
• monitoring the drums yard.
• update data on finished goods and update data on raw materials movement.
• packing drums.
• cut / rewind cables and recoil / rewind drums.
• raw materials issuing (as backup) and raw materials data update (as backup).
• do circle count on finished goods / coils & do circle count on raw materials.

Education

Candidate must possess at least a Possess min SPM.

Experience

At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Other Essential

• Able to generate some official doc such as delivery order (e.g for subcon. to Prysmian Malaysia).
• able to work with minimal supervision and stress in rushing for shipment.
• Able to plan, monitor, organize & control daily inventory flow
• able to communicate to various dept.
