Job summary

OFS Malaysia, part of the MODEC Group, is recruiting a Group Lead, Static for its engineering hub at KL Eco City, Kuala Lumpur. The role will lead the technical delivery of static and packaged equipment for offshore and FPSO projects.

You will oversee engineering quality, coordinate vendors and subcontractors, mentor multidisciplinary teams, and drive design issue resolution while maintaining schedules and driving continuous improvement across mechanical engineering activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 20 years’ mechanical engineering experience in oil and gas.
• Strong offshore or FPSO project background.
• In-depth knowledge of ASME VIII, EN 13445 and API standards.
• Proven leadership and team development capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of static and packaged equipment.
• Coordinate vendors and subcontractors and mentor engineers.
• Maintain project schedules and drive continuous improvement.
• Resolve complex mechanical design issues across FEED and detailed design.
