Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a stamping technician to set up and operate stamping machines, install dies, and troubleshoot issues. You will collaborate with Injection and Machining teams to ensure part quality and conformance to drawings.

The role includes performing first article inspections, IPQC support, and maintaining machine data and safety standards. Applicants should have a mechanical engineering background, 2+ years stamping experience, and strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Degree / Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 2 years above experience in stamping / metal press operations.
• Knowledge of stamping dies, tooling setup, and machine operation.
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings and measurements.
• Familiar with measuring tools.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate stamping machines (press machines) according to production requirements.
• Install, adjust, and maintain stamping dies and tooling.
• Perform troubleshooting for stamping defects and machine issues.
• Ensure parts meet specifications, especially for components used in plastic injection assemblies.
• Work closely with Injection and Machining teams to ensure part compatibility and quality.
• Conduct first article inspection and support IPQC during production.
• Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements for efficiency.
• Carry out preventive maintenance for stamping machines and tools.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of dies and tools.
• Maintain technical documentation, machine parameters, and setup records.
• Follow safety procedures and company quality standards (ISO).
