The Role

AMD is seeking a highly organized and proactive Supply Chain and Inventory Specialist to support ASIC‑related operations in Penang. This role plays a critical part in managing key supply chain functions including shipment scheduling, inventory control, stock transfers, sales order management, and fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of semiconductor supply chain dynamics and a passion for driving operational excellence across internal and external consumption flows.

Key Responsibilities
  • ASIC Schedule Ship Date Commitment
    • Align shipment schedules with customer and production timelines
    • Monitor and report SSD (Scheduled Ship Date) performance metrics
  • Stock Transfer Operation (STO) Management
    • Manage end‑to‑end ASIC STO processes across AMD sites and systems
    • Collaborate with logistics and planning teams to resolve discrepancies and improve STO efficiency.
  • Consumption Split Management
    • Manage the allocation of ASIC inventory between internal production needs and external customer requirements.
    • Monitor consumption trends and adjust planning strategies accordingly.
  • Board Build Prioritization
    • Coordinate with manufacturing and engineering teams to prioritize board builds based on supply availability and business needs.
    • Ensure timely execution of board build schedules to support downstream fulfillment.
  • Inventory Management
    • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure optimal stock levels across all locations.
    • Implement inventory control measures to reduce excess and prevent shortages.
  • Fulfillment Oversight
    • Supervise order fulfillment processes to ensure on‑time delivery and customer satisfaction.
    • Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to streamline operations and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Sales Order Management
    • Manage the full lifecycle of AMD sales orders from entry to delivery; ensure accuracy, monitor backlog, and coordinate with internal teams to meet customer expectations.
  • Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution
    • Serve as the primary contact for supply chain issues including shipment delays and system errors; lead cross‑functional investigations and implement corrective actions to support continuous improvement.
Preferred Experience
  • 3 years of experience in supply chain or inventory roles, preferably in a semiconductor or electronics environment.
  • Strong understanding of ASIC components and board build processes.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain tools.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Academic Credentials
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
