Responsibilities

• Ensure successful supervision and coordination in line with Nursing Department Quality Objectives and continuous professional improvement in delivery of safe and high standards of nursing care.
• Be responsible for smooth running of the unit.
• Ensure implementation of safe nursing care via ongoing supervision and involvement in administrative duties.
• Demonstrate leadership and management skills via coaching of staff, orientation of new staff with emphasis on team spirit.
• Ensure good working knowledge of all statutory requirements of the Nursing Board of Malaysia and any other legislation related to your work.
• Ensure compliance with established departmental/unit policies and procedures, continuous quality improvement objectives, environmental safety and infection control standards in line with the Organization’s Vision, Mission and Core Values.
• Ensure provision and maintenance of a risk‑free working environment in terms of infections and accidents for both patients and others.
• Participate and contribute ideas at unit meetings and other committees towards improvement of delivery of nursing care.
• Participate in tracking of Quality Indicators to measure care and services rendered to customers for continuous improvement.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager of the unit.
