A specialized medical center in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Staff Nurse / Senior Staff Nurse to provide nursing care in endoscopy and daycare settings. The ideal candidate should be a Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of clinical experience, possess strong observation skills, and be proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Prepare procedure rooms and ensure all endoscopy equipment is clean, functional, and ready.
Assist doctors during gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, and other endoscopic procedures.
Monitor patients’ vital signs before, during, and after procedures.
Perform infection control protocols for scopes and instruments.
Admit, prepare, and discharge patients undergoing same-day procedures or treatments.
Administer IV infusions, injections, and oral medications according to orders.
Educate patients and caregivers on post-procedure care.
Provide bedside nursing care, including monitoring vitals, wound care, and medication administration.
Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the ward.
Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient records.
Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals, and fellow nurses to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Uphold hospital safety, hygiene, and infection control standards.
Offer emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families.
Participate in training, continuous professional development, and quality improvement initiatives.
Registered Nurse with a valid Annual Practising Certificate from the Malaysian Nursing Board.
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in endoscopy, daycare, or medical-surgical wards.
Knowledge of endoscopic procedures, sedation protocols, and infection control.
Strong observation skills and ability to act quickly in emergencies.
Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; good communication and teamwork abilities.
Computer‑literate (Microsoft Office, EMR systems).
