Job summary

OasisEye Specialists Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Staff Nurse to support doctors in surgery and clinics, manage sterile instruments, and provide patient consultations and education throughout clinical procedures.

You will prepare patients for procedures, ensure safety standards, and liaise with the medical team to maintain high-quality care while supporting nursing operations across departments.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist doctors in surgery cases and clinics.
• Manage CSSD to ensure sterilisation of instruments and stock of consumables.
• Provide initial patient consultation, evaluation, and treatment.
• Prepare patients for clinical procedures and provide counselling on health issues.
• Liaise with doctors and staff to ensure quality medical care and address improvements.
• Provide nursing cover for OT, counselling or medication areas as required.

Job Responsibilities

• To scrub and assist the doctors in their surgery cases and their clinics.
• Manage the CSSD to ensure surgical instruments are sterilised and available at all times, and all consumables are in stock.
• Provide initial patient consultation, evaluation, and treatment.
• Preparation of patients for clinical procedures.
• Provide patient counselling and education on pertinent health issues.
• Perform the role of liaison for doctors and other staff to ensure quality medical care and address issues for improvement.
• Provide nursing cover for OT, Counselling or Medication area, and the nurse department as required.
• To ensure high safety and ethical practice standards.
• Maintaining excellent patient care and a feedback mechanism.
• Organise, file, and privately maintain health information.
• Manage all surgical patients pre and post-operatively.
• Ensure all surgical charges are posted accordingly.
• Maintaining adequate medical inventories.
• To participate and contribute to the marketing and expansion activities of the centre as the need arises.
