Job summary

IHT Rehabilitation Centre in Johor is seeking a State Registered Nurse to join our clinical team. You will assist doctors in examination and treatment, administer medications, and carry out nursing procedures to support patient care.

The role requires at least three years of experience, infectious disease knowledge, and strong communication. You will document care, participate in multi-disciplinary meetings, and help improve service quality while ensuring compliance with licensing and safety

Qualifications

• State Registered Nurse with Malaysian Nursing Board and valid practicing license.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a staff nurse.
• Knowledge of infectious diseases is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors in examination of patients.
• Ensure doctor’s orders, treatment and investigations are carried out.
• Administer medications and record drug usage and treatments.
• Carry out nursing procedures for patients (e.g., catheterisation, dressing).
• Perform diagnostic/therapeutic procedures as required (e.g., ECG, nebuliser, blood glucose monitoring).
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and committees to improve nursing care delivery.
• Track Quality Indicators to measure care and services for continuous improvement.
• Compile and maintain documentation and reports for internal and external audits.

• Assist doctors in examination of patients.
• Ensure doctor’s orders, treatment and investigations are being carried out.
• Administration of medications, record use of drugs and other given treatment.
• Carry out nursing procedures for patients e.g. catheterization and dressing.
• Carry out diagnostic / therapeutic procedure when required e.g. ECG, nebulizer, blood glucose monitoring.
• Participate and contribute ideas at multi-disciplinary department meetings and other committees towards improvement of the delivery of nursing care.
• Participate in tracking of Quality Indicators to measure care and services rendered to customers and for continuous improvement.
• Compiles and maintains relevant documentation, records and reports for inspection by the appropriate authorities, both internal and external auditors.
• Communicate and collaborate with nurse manager, peers, medical staff, patients, families and carers, general public, external agencies, voluntary agencies, GP's, other regional healthcare.

Job Requirements:

• State Registered Nurse registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board
• Must possess current practicing license.
• At least three (3) years working experience as a staff nurse.
• Effective interpersonal relationship and communication skills
• Sound knowledge of Infectious Diseases is essential.
