Key responsibilities in your new role
- Develop, modify, and optimize reliability equipment (hardware/software), drivers, stress/substrate boards, and related processes ranging from low to high complexity and volume
- Perform reliability system buy-off and release using T32; manage stress/substrate board buy-off, release, and registration in REALIS
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment-related issues of varying complexity and quantity
- Plan and manage Technical Feasibility Checks for new reliability projects (low to high complexity); provide timely and high-quality feedback to clients and LLPs
- Liaise closely with Operations and the Engineering Sustaining team to prioritize tasks and meet agreed timelines, milestones, and reliability deadlines
- Plan, execute, and coordinate with Operations/Engineering Sustaining teams to achieve required stress conditions, priorities, and resolution of stress-related issues
- Drive and implement equipment and process adaptations based on new requirements derived from technology and product roadmaps. Serve as a work-package leader or team member in project teams, and transfer know-how to the Engineering Sustaining team
- Prepare and maintain documentation for new equipment and processes (e.g., work instructions, Machine Operating Instructions (MOI), specifications, OJTI)
- Develop new methods and processes (low to high complexity) to improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of reliability qualifications for products, technologies, materials, and process changes
- Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) projects, NLoP/YIP submissions, 8D problem-solving activities, workshops, presentations, and departmental events
- Proactively identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous improvement and failure prevention within the Engineering team. Share best practices across the local team
- Attend training sessions to develop relevant knowledge and skills, close competency gaps, and take ownership of personal development
Your Profile
Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics, Semiconductor Technology, Microelectronics, Applied Science, or equivalent), or a Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
- Minimum of 6–7 years of related working experience
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor reliability stress equipment is preferred
- Experience in reliability test methodologies and concepts, reference standards, operating principles of stress equipment, and programming knowledge will be an added advantage
- Basic knowledge of semiconductor physics, packaging technology, wafer technologies, and interpretation of electrical characteristics of semiconductor devices (parameters) affected by material/process changes or applied stress
- Familiarity with reliability reference standards, test methodologies, and concepts for products with low to high complexity
- Knowledge of operating principles, troubleshooting/diagnostics, schematic and circuitry interpretation, and repair of stress equipment with low to high complexity/volume
- Programming skills in C++, Visual Studio, Arduino, and embedded system programming
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
