Celestica in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia seeks a Staff Engineer, Program/Project Management to lead design and manufacturing engineers on complex projects. You will advance DFx closure, manage manufacturing readiness, and own the manufacturing content of phase gates, ensuring timely RYG status updates and cost inputs.

The role requires 8–12 years in manufacturing or NPI, a degree in engineering, and willingness to travel to build sites during critical builds.

Qualifications

Responsabilités

• Steer DFx closure for the programme: ensure pre-DFM and pre-DFA run before release and that every finding is routed, owned and closed.
• Write and maintain the manufacturing scope of the Programme SOW, and keep it current through change.
• Sign manufacturing readiness before each build, naming open items with an owner and a date rather than signing around them.
• Raise Process Development Requests when the design needs capability the site does not have, and track them to a committed date.
• Own the manufacturing content of the phase gate package and present it at the gate.
• Drive yield recovery, defect attribution and open-item burn-down on early builds with the TRL and the site.
• Maintain the manufacturing risk register for the programme and close severe risks before DVT exit.
• Assess manufacturability at POC and pre-EVT, and challenge design rules rather than accepting them as fixed.
• Provide manufacturing cost, NRE and fixture input into the quotation before acceptance.
• Own the manufacturing dimension of the NPI RYG status for the programme.

General Overview

The Staff Engineer, Program/Project Management is accountable for planning and directing design engineers and other technical engineers working on specific projects. They manage the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex designs. They are responsible for managing large projects with complex scope, multiple streams of work and inter-dependencies.

Detailed Description
