Job summary

Insulet Corporation is seeking a Category Manager – Packaging to lead packaging category strategy for Malaysia and China manufacturing sites. You will coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance to ensure cost-effective, compliant packaging supply.

The role requires 5–8 years in procurement or related fields, with experience in regulated manufacturing and strong negotiation and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
• 5–8 years of procurement, supply management, engineering or operations experience.
• Experience with suppliers in regulated manufacturing environments (medical devices preferred).
• Knowledge of packaging materials, components, and supplier processes.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute packaging category strategies for Malaysia and China sites.
• Lead supplier sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and performance management.
• Act as primary procurement contact for regional packaging suppliers and manage escalations.
• Support new product introductions, packaging changes, and supplier qualifications.
• Drive cost reduction, should-cost analysis, and productivity programs.
• Manage supplier risk, quality systems, regulatory compliance, and ESG standards.
• Track and report metrics on cost, quality, delivery, and risk.
• Support CAPEX and OPEX planning with Finance.

This role is responsible for managing packaging category strategy, supplier performance, and sourcing execution for manufacturing locations in Malaysia and China.
