STARTRADER in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an AI Graphic Designer to merge AI-driven visuals with traditional branding skills. The role focuses on creating visuals for branding and marketing, using AI tools to boost quality, production efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

You will develop visuals for campaigns across digital and print channels, ensuring brand consistency while adapting to diverse markets. The ideal candidate combines strong design sense with AI fluency and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Based in Malaysia with fluency in Mandarin and English.
• Proficient in AI tools and traditional design software for branding.

Role Overview

We are looking for a designer who combines strong AI visual creation skills with traditional graphic design experience. You will develop visuals for branding and marketing, using AI tools to enhance creative quality, production efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Brand Identity & Creative Development Follow brand guidelines to translate brand positioning and business needs into visual concepts. Adapt and extend the brand's visual identity across different markets and communication channels.
• AI Visual Creation & Application Integrate AI tools into concept development, image generation, and design production. Explore approaches that improve visual quality and stylistic consistency while meeting business needs.
• Multichannel Design & Project Delivery Create designs for marketing campaigns, social media, advertising, websites, and online and offline materials. Collaborate with relevant teams to manage the design process from understanding the brief through to final delivery.
• Design Workflows & Asset Management Develop and maintain design templates, visual assets, and reusable creative workflows. Organize files and versions, ensuring asset use meets company licensing and confidentiality requirements.
• AI Tools & Cost Management Evaluate and manage AI tools, subscriptions, and usage. Control spending, reduce unnecessary generation and rework, and continuously improve the balance between quality, efficiency, and cost.

Requirements

• Currently based in Malaysia, with fluency in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese and English.
• Proficient in ChatGPT, Claude, Higgsfield, and Magnific, with practical experience applying these tools to design projects.
• Professional experience in traditional graphic design, with proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant design software.
• Strong visual judgment, creativity, and understanding of branding, with the ability to independently deliver AI-generated visuals and finished designs.
• An understanding of commercial design needs and the ability to create visuals for different markets and channels within brand guidelines.
• Strong collaboration, time management, and cost awareness, with ownership of resource planning and delivery quality.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with ComfyUI, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Flux, or other AI tools and workflows. These are optional.
• Design experience in fintech, trading platforms, or brokerage services.
• Experience in motion design, AI video creation, or design workflow optimization.
