Job summary

A leading oil and gas firm in Malaysia is seeking an SSHE Executive to oversee safety, security, health, and environment compliance. You will be responsible for workplace inspections, maintaining accident records, and facilitating visits from governmental officers. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience, along with strong interpersonal skills and advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ working experience in a manufacturing or milling environment.
  • Certified SHO or CePSWaM is an added advantage.
  • Possess own transport.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and ensure compliance with SHE standards at the workplace.
  • Establish and maintain records of accidents and injuries.
  • Facilitate visits from governmental officers.
  • Conduct safety briefings for visitors and contractors.
  • Carry out additional duties as instructed by management.

To inspect and ensure workplaces are compliance with SHE standard. Scope shall cover plant, machinery, environment, people behaviour (BBS), safe work system and standard operating procedure (SOP).

To establish and maintain records of accidents and injuries, and submit reports to DOSH where required.

To facilitate visiting of governmental officers (DOE, DOSH, MPKL etc) while carrying out their duty in the company.

To establish procedures / guidelines in ensuring the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, visitors, contractors and the premises.

To conduct safety briefing among visitors and contractors.

To carry out additional duties and responsibilities as instructed by management from time to time.

Job Success Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Studies, or a related field or equivalent education and experience.

Minimum 5 years’ working experience in a manufacturing and or milling environment.

Certified SHO or CePSWaM is an added advantage.

Advanced Microsoft Office user.

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Possess own transport
