Work you’ll do

Deloitte is growing its Strategy, Risk, and Transaction (SR&T) – Valuation & Modeling practice in Southeast Asia. We use advanced modelling and valuation tools to partner with our clients to unlock asset value, drive strategic decisions, and mitigate risks, including acquisition assessments, financial reporting, dispute resolution, and portfolio valuation, ensuring accurate valuations for investment portfolios.

You will work alongside our clients to bring a rigorous, evidence-based analytical capability to help them solve pressing and complex issues. This includes revealing insight and delivering value through pragmatic and actionable recommendations. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our clients to understand the forces that are driving change, identify opportunities and develop solutions across the whole organization.

The nature of the work we do includes:

  • Advanced Financial Modeling and Strategic Analysis

    - Lead the development and refinement of complex financial models for a range of transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital financing.

    - Oversee the analytical processes and ensure that models accurately reflect the financial dynamics of transactions, providing strategic insights to guide executive decision‑making.

  • Senior Valuation Expertise

    - Direct comprehensive valuation assessments using sophisticated methodologies such as Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), NPV, IRR, and Market Approach.

    - Interpret and synthesize valuation outcomes, providing strategic advice to senior management and stakeholders on business valuation and opportunities.

  • Enhanced Reporting and Executive Communication

    - Supervise the preparation and review of detailed financial and valuation reports, ensuring they meet the highest standards of accuracy and clarity.

    - Communicate complex financial information and strategic insights effectively to senior stakeholders, including c‑suite executives and board members.

  • Project Leadership and Management

    - Lead multiple project teams, ensuring all engagements are completed on schedule, within budget, and exceed client expectations.

    - Apply advanced project management techniques to optimize team performance and project deliverables, while managing risks and stakeholder expectations.

  • Client Relationship and Business Development

    - Cultivate lasting relationships with key clients.

    - Lead the preparation and delivery of proposals and presentations for new business and continuous client engagement, enhancing firm’s market position and growth.

  • Mentorship and Leadership Training

    - Participate in the creation and delivery of training programs.

    - Act as a coach and mentor to less experienced practitioners, guiding them to reach their potential.

Requirements
  • Possesses an undergraduate or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business from a recognized local or international university with outstanding academic credentials. Professional qualifications such as CFA, CVA, ICAEW, ACCA, FMVA, or CFM are highly regarded.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in business valuation, M&A, investment banking, private equity, equity research, or auditing, with a proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects through to successful completion.
  • Demonstrates advanced financial modeling skills, including the ability to build robust financial models from scratch and critically review and validate client‑developed models.
  • Brings strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data interpretation skills, with an inquisitive mindset, logical thinking, and the ability to simplify complex financial or strategic issues for both internal teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Exhibits high attention to detail and a meticulous work style, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all analyses, reports, and deliverables.
  • Performs well under pressure and thrives in fast‑paced environments, consistently meeting demanding deadlines while maintaining quality, professionalism, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to present strategic insights to boards of directors and senior leadership, as well as to collaborate effectively across multi‑disciplinary teams.
