Job summary

A leading consulting firm is looking for an SR&T Consultant for a 12-month contract in Penang. This role involves conducting regulatory reviews in compliance with AML/KYC obligations, validating KYC information, and identifying high-risk cases. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience, a degree in accounting or law, and proficiency in English and Chinese. This position requires commitment to working onsite and offers an opportunity to empower leadership among team members.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience in Source of Wealth, KYC, AML, forensic accounting, fraud investigation, or related fields.
• Professional certification is a plus.
• Basic understanding of Source of Wealth and AML regulations.

• Conduct Source of Wealth review in accordance with regulatory and industry standards and advise on assessment and corroboration gaps; perform subsequent uplift to required standards and plausibility assessments.
• Conduct client due diligence during onboarding and periodic reviews, ensuring compliance with AML/KYC obligations.
• Validate and verify KYC information through comprehensive research and cross-referencing internal and external databases.
• Identify and elevate cases involving politically exposed persons and customers with medium to high AML risk.
• Perform enhanced due diligence for customers with higher AML risk ratings, addressing complex compliance issues.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., accounting, law) and a professional certification is a plus.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Source of Wealth, KYC, AML, forensic accounting, fraud investigation, or related fields, ideally within consulting, financial, accounting, or legal institutions.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese language.
• Basic understanding of Source of Wealth and MAS and HKMA AML regulations.
• Strong team player with good communication, analytical, and report-writing skills, and a commitment to professional excellence.
• Commitment to working onsite at client’s office.
• Ability to review Accounting/Financial Documents in Mandarin is a plus.
