A leading manufacturing company in Malaysia seeks an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead overall plant operations. Responsibilities include driving continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and optimizing resource utilization. The ideal candidate has 10-15 years of manufacturing experience, with a strong background in renewable energy or high-tech environments. Lead overall plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing aligned with corporate goals.
Plan, organize, and control production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, process efficiency, and operational excellence.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory standards within the plant.
Optimize resource utilization including manpower, equipment, and materials to achieve cost competitiveness.
Oversee maintenance and engineering functions to ensure high equipment reliability and minimal downtime.
Implement world-class manufacturing practices such as Lean, Kaizen, and 5S to enhance performance.
Collaborate with corporate teams in R&D, supply chain, quality, and project management to support new product and technology introduction.
Develop and mentor plant teams to build technical capability, leadership strength, and a culture of accountability.
Provide strategic input on capacity planning, investment, and plant expansion to support business growth.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field is an advantage.
Minimum 10–15 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or plant leadership role.
Proven track record in renewable energy, solar, EV, or related high-technology manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, process optimization, and lean methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma, TPM).
Familiar with EHS regulations, ISO standards, and quality management systems.
Experience in automation, smart manufacturing, or digital transformation initiatives is an added advantage.
Excellent people management, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement culture.
