Job summary

Micron Technology in Malaysia seeks a test engineer to develop and enable alternate test platforms, expand test coverage with sophisticated customer use cases, and reduce test cost while validating NAND features and commands on high-speed tester hardware.

You will perform electrical failure analysis, investigate root causes with cross‑functional teams, monitor performance during AQL testing, and leverage Python/C/C++ and data analytics to automate programs and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Course work or work experience in Python/C/C++, semiconductor physics, data analytics and statistics is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain characterization and qualification test programs from datasheet and customer specs.
• Design novel test algorithms and develop test programs for validating NAND features and commands.
• Perform functional and design validation of new NAND on high-speed tester hardware.
• Explore continual improvement in characterization and validation methods aligned with customer needs.
• Monitor NAND performance during AQL testing in product development and qualification.

• Develop and maintain characterization and qualification test program based on datasheet and customer specification

• Design novel test algorithms and develop test programs for validating NAND features and commands

• Performing functional and design validation of new NAND on high-speed tester hardware.

• Explore continual improvement in characterization and validation methodology aligned with the growth in customer requirement and higher data rate supported.

• Monitor NAND performance during Assured Quality Level (AQL) testing during product development and qualification

• Perform Electrical Failure Analysis during the evaluations, and investigate root causes of reported device issues and collaborate with NAND Design, Application Engineering, Product and System teams to drive closure of device issues

• Leveraging AI and automate program development and work processes whenever possible.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering or related field

• Course work or work experience in Python/C/C++, semiconductor physics, data analytics and statistics is required.
