Job description

Sr Electrical Engineer or Sr Mechanical Engineer

Attending and participating in job-related meetings, appointments, site visits, authorities’ offices, and other duties as assigned.

Leading and coordinating with internal teams, including CAD/BIM departments, for assigned projects.

Responsible for engineering design, tender documentation, Bills of Quantities (BQ), progress claims, technical reports, and statutory submissions to authorities.

Managing and supervising day-to-day project activities, providing technical guidance to ensure smooth and timely project delivery.

Liaising closely with Clients, Architects, other Consultants, Authorities, and Contractors to achieve project milestones.

Ensuring all design works comply with design briefs, statutory requirements, and relevant codes and standards.

Ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping in accordance with ISO standards and internal procedures.

Assisting Directors and senior management in project planning, coordination, and technical matters when required.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in M&E consultancy for senior position, preferably in commercial, high-rise, industrial, healthcare, or data centre projects.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Outstation positions are available in Penang and Johor. Local candidates from Penang and Johor are strongly encouraged to apply, in support of our regional project delivery and site coordination requirements.

Strong technical knowledge in the following building services systems will be an added advantage:

Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; Revit/BIM experience is an added advantage.

Familiar with local authority submission procedures and consultancy practice in Malaysia.

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English.

Independent, self‑motivated, responsible, and able to work under minimal supervision in a fast‑paced consultancy environment.

Candidates with professional registration (PE / Ir. / BEM) will have an added advantage.
