Senior Advance Application / System Sales Engineer (Building Management System)

The Field Application Engineer (FAE) will act as a technical bridge between sales, customers, and product teams within the Electronic Security domain, covering Access Control and Video Management Systems.

The role is primarily focused on pre-sales solutioning, technical consulting, and customer engagement, with an additional responsibility of providing targeted post-sales field support and escalations.

This position requires a strong ability to design, position, and validate security solutions, along with hands-on expertise to support deployment challenges across both software and hardware layers of integrated security systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pre-Sales Engagement & Solutioning (Core Focus)

  • Perform specification compliance and design reviews for electronic security systems, including access control and video surveillance solutions.
  • Provide technical consultancy and system architecture guidance to customers, consultants, and internal sales teams.
  • Translate customer requirements into end-to-end security solutions, including:
    • Access Control Systems (cards, readers, controllers, supervisory software)
    • Video Systems (cameras, NVRs, video management systems)
    • Integration with third‑party systems such as Time & Attendance, Visitor Management, and Canteen Management systems
  • Develop and deliver technical demonstrations aligned with customer use cases and operational needs.
  • Plan and execute Proof of Concepts (PoCs), pilot deployments, and solution validations.
  • Support technical discussions with consultants and stakeholders, influencing specifications and design standards.
  • Conduct technical enablement and training programs for sales teams to strengthen solution positioning.
  • Deliver product updates, solution insights, and technical knowledge sessions.

2. Post-Sales Technical Support (Targeted)

  • Provide on-site field support for complex deployments, commissioning challenges, and critical escalations.
  • Support integration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization across deployed security systems.
  • Perform RMA diagnostics and failure analysis across hardware components (controllers, readers, cameras) and software systems.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for high‑impact customer issues requiring deep system expertise.
  • Participate in beta testing and validation of new product introductions (NPIs) in live environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve product gaps and enhance solution robustness.

Required Experience

  • 10–15 years of experience in Electronic Security Systems, including Access Control and Video Surveillance solutions.
  • Strong background in pre-sales engineering, system design, and customer‑facing technical roles.
  • Experience working with consultants, system integrators, and enterprise customers.
  • Proven ability to balance solutioning responsibilities with hands‑on field troubleshooting.
