Job summary

Ansell is seeking a Sr Administrator, EHS to join our Shah Alam site. You will assist the EHS Lead to administer, supervise and execute EHS activities, conduct toolbox briefings, and monitor high‑risk tasks for workers and contractors.

Your role also covers documentation, incident reporting, waste and energy performance, and participation in audits such as ISO 14001 and 50001. A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in EHS and relevant certifications are preferred; strong English and Bahasa Malaysia

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health and Safety required or advantageous.
• Professional certification such as SHO/ OSH-C preferred or in-progress.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer, supervise and execute EHS activities at site.
• Conduct weekly toolbox briefings for shop floor employees.
• Monitor high‑risk tasks and coordinate with contractors.
• Maintain EHS records, reports and ISO documentation (e.g., 14001, 50001).
• Support emergency response and audit readiness.

Ansell is looking for a Sr Administrator, EHS to join our team in Shah Alam!

In this position you will be responsible for Assisting EHS Lead to administer, supervise and execute EHS documentation, do worksite inspection, collect data, and report generation and other activities as needed related to the EHS department which cover security aspect as well.

What your role will be?

• Administer, supervise and execute EHS activities at site.
• Conduct weekly toolbox briefing to shop floor employee
• Monitoring and Supervision of high-risk task by employee and contractor
• Maintain, monitor and alert the EHS lead on the Schedule Waste status. (Obtain CePSWAM is optional).
• Ensure EHS committee meetings are conducted and minute prepared and distributed.
• Conduct Emergency Response drill and maintain post mortem report on yearly basis.
• Conduct EHS briefing to contractor and visitor.
• Support in sustainability goal for waste, energy and water.

Documentation

• Maintain the Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety Management System and CCTV documentation, ensuring it is up to date, documents controlled, records maintained, information communicated to stakeholders.
• Maintain record of unsafe act, unsafe condition, near misses and accident.
• These include, risk assessment, legal registers, incident reporting data and report, and any monthly / annual reporting.
• Prepare EHS work instructions for shop floor employee which cover security part as well.

Worksite Inspections and Shopfloor Engagement

• Do worksite inspections and other checking activities related to EHS.
• Ensure regular and periodic safety inspection of equipment and machinery conducted by respective departments such as reach truck, machine, fire extinguisher, first aid, spill kits
• Liaise closely with departmental supervisors and leaders in implementation of HRT requirements at shop floor.
• Inspect work area premises for hazardous elements.

Training and Briefing

• Ensure toolbox communication is timely deliver.

Inventory Management

• Maintain and monitor EHS inventory
• Responsible in issuance, record keeping and procurement of PPE and safety equipment.
• These include maintaining good housekeeping for EHS inventory and raising PR to maintain the good inventory

Audit

• Assist the EHS Head especially ISO 14001, ISO 50001, CTPAT, Social Compliance Audit (F11, SMETA, WRAP and etc) which relate to safety and security, customer audit and any other audit that require by the company

Others

• Aid in emergency response and preparedness such as first aid & fire fighting
• Involve in any audit, government inspection (DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, Majlis and etc) or any other activities involving EHS Department.

Perform other responsibilities as assigned by superior or management from time to time.

What will you bring to Ansell?

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in environmental, Health and Safety would be an added advantage
• Completed SHO / OSH-C certification course under NIOSH or other training provider approved by DOSH
• Completed environmental competency course such as CEPSWAM would be an added advantageProficient in writing and communicating in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Need to have a minimum competency in Microsoft packages, including advance excel, words and PowerPoint and Smartsheet.
• Good in record keeping and documentation
• Sound knowledge in emergency response
• Team player with strong ability to motivate, inspire and consistently exceed expectations.
• Able to work in a team or independently with minimal supervision.
• Administrative duties involve areas interview arrangement, documentation preparation, document keeping, disciplinary investigation, action plan etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, problem solving skills business report writing skills as well as presentation skills.
• PC literate: through knowledge of PC, network standard packages used under Windows applications.
