Job summary

Jabil in Malaysia seeks a Finance professional to lead government incentives, regulatory engagements, tax compliance, and statutory audits across manufacturing operations. This role also focuses on coordinating tax incentives, managing SOX controls, and liaising with auditors and the Inland Revenue Board.

You will work with strong accounting standards knowledge and ERP systems like SAP, supported by Excel. Mandarin language skills are an advantage for stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; professional qualification is a plus.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Mandarin language skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual statutory audit and liaise with external auditors.
• Coordinate government tax incentives and regulatory submissions.
• Prepare tax computations, filings, and respond to queries from tax authorities.
• Execute Finance SOX baseline activities and control testing.

Key responsibilities

1. Government Incentives & Regulatory Engagement Proactively explore and evaluate new government tax incentive opportunities (e.g., NIF) with MIDA, especially in view of the Reinvestment Allowance (RA) incentive expiring in FY2028 Coordinate manufacturing license applications, renewals, and regulatory submissions to ensure full compliance
2. Statutory Audit & Compliance Management Lead and manage the annual statutory audit, serving as the primary liaison with external auditors Oversee audit planning, documentation, issue resolution, and timely closure of audit findings
3. Tax Compliance & Authority Liaison Manage annual tax computations, filings, and queries in collaboration with tax agents Act as the key contact with the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) for audits and follow-ups Prepare and submit monthly withholding tax filings accurately and on time Coordinate transfer pricing compliance and documentation with tax agents
4. Internal Controls & SOX Governance Manage Finance SOX baseline, including documentation, control testing, and remediation tracking Conduct finance self-audits to ensure ongoing SOX compliance
5. Other Plant Support Drive FIA submissions Validate plant Lean savings for financial credibility Perform balance sheet reconciliations for site GL not covered by GBS

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, etc.) is an advantage
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting
• Able to speak, read, and write in Mandarin to support business and stakeholders is an advantage
• Experience in audit or commercial environment preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP accounting systems
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
