As a Sports Advisor (Sales), your role is to ensure all customers leave our store satisfied. From a friendly welcome through to a quick payment process, you will always deliver a 5‑star shopping experience. Decathlon heavily invests in the development of teammates so those who want to build careers within the business can flourish.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers in a professional manner.
- Fully commit to the satisfaction of every customer and determine a suitable solution for returns, complaints, checkout, etc.
- Educate customers on omni‑channel brand offerings and the complete range of products.
- Know the technical features of Decathlon products and user benefits to offer the right products and services.
- Develop the customer network both in‑store and online, establish personal relationships.
- Pass on sports passion and help customers discover new sports.
- Encourage subscription/registration of loyalty cards to customers.
- Participate in sports‑related community events within the neighbourhood.
- Show knowledge of the department’s ambitions and take action with the team to achieve it.
- Promote innovation and sports experience in store.
- Boost Decathlon Malaysia’s sales using resources and commercial tools.
- Create store layout in accordance with implantation principles and guidelines.
- Produce high‑quality implantation based on the Satisfied Customer Family (FCS).
- Maintain layout with good facing to satisfy customers.
- Ensure stock accuracy and availability using the automatic replenishment system.
- Raise awareness about Decathlon Connect among stakeholders.
- Maintain safety of people and goods, enforce basic safety and security standards.
- Apply and enforce all security procedures regarding people, goods and cash, play an active role in combating shrinkage.
- Observe product safety policy (standardised adjustments and traceability of sensitive products, use‑by dates, etc.).
- Know and manage personal development and training plans, participate in training, develop training skills and become a trainer.
Profile
What We Are Looking For
- Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken) are essential. Other languages are a plus.
- Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma is required.
- Fresh graduates to experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Customer‑centric with a strong sense of service.
- Willingness to help others, both teammates and customers.
- Responsible, self‑motivated and adaptable in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
- Human‑First with high demand and communication skills.
- Able to play as part of the team during the busiest times (weekends and holidays).
