Job summary

A technology firm in Johor is seeking a dynamic Field Application Engineer (FAE) to support their Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and Solder Paste Inspection (SPI) systems. The FAE will be responsible for providing technical training, troubleshooting, and optimizing processes for clients. Candidates must have a diploma in engineering and suitable experience in AOI/AXI operations. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is necessary for effective communication with clients. This position requires a willingness to travel and flexibility in duty hours.

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for a dynamic and technically skilled Field Application Engineer (FAE) to support our Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and Solder Paste Inspection (SPI) systems. Based in Senai, Johor, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our customers with installation, technical training, troubleshooting, and process optimization.

Responsibilities:

You are to provide sales & technical supports (night shift work required) on all TRI products, namely AXI, AOI and SPI system

You must be able to build and maintain strong relationships with key individuals at all levels throughout customer's organization in ensuring customers’ satisfaction

Responsible to take care of below transactions, quotations for services and remind and push for service contracts per AXI machines.

Maintain good relationships with the users at all times.

Personal skills:

Required superior product skills. After 6 months training and on job training, you must become an expert for machines repair, competition benchmark, services.

Good manner, polite, patient, friendly at all times with the users.

Being passionate and aggressive for trouble shooting.

Requirements:

Candidates must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/ Mechatronic / Electromechanical) or equivalent.

Experience in AOI/AXI operation/line support activities on night shift.

Knowledge in AOI/AXI equipment or license will be an added advantage

At least 3 - 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Good learning attitude, hard work and commitment

Required skill(s): Visual Basic, SAP, Oracle, MS SQL Server, VB.NET, C#

Willing to travel overseas for onsite support as often as required, countries per Taiwan, South East Asia, India.

Willing to be flexible for duty hours, 24 – 7 on call. (Extra working hours shall be disbursed afterward.)

AXI / AOI / SPI presale skills are bonus.

Proficiency in English and Mandarin
