Job summary

TELUS Digital AI Data Solutions seeks Malay-speaking participants to join a Speech-to-Text audio collection project. You will record readings of scripts in Malay English (Manglish) via mobile or web apps, remotely from July 2026 to September 2026, for 10–20 hours total.

This is an independent contractor role with payments of $5 USD per hour, via Hyperwallet (PayPal or Bank Transfer).

Qualifications

• Fluent Malay speaker.
• Ages 12–60+ years.
• Stable internet connection for duration of task.
• Device with a microphone (phone, tablet, PC, or laptop).
• Independent contractor; limited to one completion per participant.

TELUS Digital is seeking Malay speakers to participate in a Speech-to-Text (STT) audio collection project. Participants will record voice utterances by reading provided scripts in Malay English (Manglish) using our mobile or web application. During multiple recording sessions, you will receive scripts covering various everyday conversational topics and read them naturally and conversationally—avoiding overly formal or robotic speech patterns.

The Primary Objective

The primary objective of this project is to create high-quality audio recordings paired with corresponding scripts to train and improve speech recognition models. Your participation helps develop speech recognition technology that understands and processes natural speech, ultimately enhancing AI systems and user experience.
