Job summary

EPS Malaysia is seeking a Space Planner/Interior Designer in Klang to join our furniture manufacturing team. You will create CAD-based drawings, layouts, and proposals, collaborating with sales, engineers, and the product solutions team to deliver accurate visual representations and costings.

You should have a Diploma in Product Design or Interior Design, strong AutoCAD and SketchUp skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in the furniture industry.
• Diploma in Product Design, Interior Design or equivalent.
• Strong technical and AutoCAD skills.
• Understanding of drawing applications (Sketchup, CAD).
• Good MS Office skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
• Able to meet tight deadlines and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical drawings fulfilling client requirements using Project Matrix and related software.
• Review incoming workflows and plan based on customer requirements.
• Collaborate with sales, dealers, product solutions, engineers, spec & quote, project team and operations to propose solutions.
• Provide pricing from the approved proposal.
• Prepare drawing sign-off and update specifications in Project Matrix before handing to spec & quote team.
• Provide regular updates and reporting on design activities.
• Suggest and identify ways to streamline processes for continuous improvement.
• Attend daily stand-up meetings and update project status daily.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by management.
