Job summary

A leading EMS company in Johor is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage sourcing and vendor relations. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in procurement, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and proficiency in ERP systems. Responsibilities include ensuring BOM integrity, managing project bids, and overseeing component classification for customs declarations. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from RM 4,000 to RM 5,800.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, or procurement in a manufacturing or EMS environment.
  • Knowledge of Customs / LMW / import & export documentation is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure both internal and external teams receive the customer BOM.
  • Develop and monitor project master tracking system.
  • Oversee new part development and golden sample pack preparation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely ERP data maintenance.
  • Source and manage new project bids, including costing activities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure both internal (supply chain) and external (supplier) teams receive the customer BOM (Bill of Materials).
  • Develop and monitor the project master tracking system, conducting review meetings with project and program teams.
  • Oversee subordinates in new part development and golden sample pack preparation for customer approval.
  • Ensure accurate and timely ERP data maintenance and vendor quotation approvals.
  • Publish tool capacity and machine capacity reports as scheduled.
  • Provide solutions, guidance, and support to subordinates on sourcing matters.
  • Source and manage new project bids, including costing activities for customer quotations.
  • Ensure all new components are correctly classified under tariff types for Customs LMW declarations.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 35 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, or procurement in a manufacturing or EMS environment.
  • Familiar with vendor management, cost analysis, and quotation evaluation.
  • Knowledge of Customs / LMW / import & export documentation is an added advantage.
  • Strong in negotiation, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office.
Salary Range: RM 4,000 - 5,800
