The procurement organisation in bp seeks to be a world-class business centric Procurement organization, working to support delivery of BP business and functional strategies with efficiency, effectiveness and great stakeholder experience. Procurement is adapting to be more aligned to the delivery of BP’s transformation agenda and key business drivers in the short, medium and long term.

The Procurement Sourcing Team Is Included In The S2C Sourcing Pillar And Drives The Way In Which BP Approaches The Market To Source Third Party Supply, Balancing Efficiency And Value Drivers Consistent With The Category Strategy. The Incumbent Will Be

• Responsible for handling Strategic, High complex Major Deals for the Digital & Talent category globally.
• Leading global sourcing for the group in this space. This is done through the creation and execution of deployment plans that call out the People, Processes and Systems that will allow for the industrialization of the service offering consistently across BP’s Procurement with the goal of providing sourcing and contracting excellence.
• Work across multiple areas across Digital & Talent organizations and gives the incumbent a rare insight into how BP works and multiple BP commodities and businesses.
• Commercially astute with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, the candidate will be adept working at all levels across the business

Negotiation Expertise

What you will deliver

• Lead negotiator on high value & complexity negotiations.
• Applies advanced negotiation techniques to consistently secure high-value outcomes.
• Resolves stalled negotiations and adapts strategies based on situational needs to improve supplier value.

Sourcing Strategy

• Gather and analyze market intelligence data on a regular basis relative to supported categories and regions, to evaluate market and industry conditions to formulate Sourcing strategies and decisions.
• Develop Sourcing strategies based on category demand, request, market and suppliers’ conditions and ensuring process, is in line with Global Governance requirements.

Stakeholder Management

• Ability to collaborate and build relationship with Senior partners like VP’s, SVP’s levels for major projects/engagements and deliver value.
• Act as a senior point of contact for key business partners, ensuring sourcing priorities are aligned with business needs and delivering significant value and risk mitigation

Sourcing Excellence

• Driving sourcing excellence through deploying leading practice providing a consistent experience, utilization of strong market intelligence and running world class bids that deliver significant value for the business and where applicable enables the business to buy quickly, easily & where it makes sense, independently

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with Category Management Policy, S2C procurement controls, regional governance, contract templates, and Delegation of Authority (DoA) requirements.

Performance Management

• Review and report on team performance using key performance indicator, including value delivery, cycle time, and business partner experience.

What You Will Need To Be Successful

• Bachelor’s degree in any subject area or higher
• Minimum 10 years of experience in global procurement, strategic sourcing & Project Sourcing
• Minimum 3 years of experience leading Major Deals/Projects for Digital Category & Talent (Professional Services, Business Consulting, Travel, Real Estate, Banking etc) Categories.
• Proven track record of leading high-performing, multi-cultural global teams and delivering complex sourcing strategies.
• Proven experience with Strategic Sourcing, Complex Contract & Commercial negotiations and strong contract drafting skills.
• Strong commercial acuity, negotiation expertise, and supplier relationship management skills.
• Experience working in a global, matrixed organization with cross-cultural teams.
• Ability to influence senior partners and drive strategic outcomes

Desirable criteria

Familiarity with Ariba Source to Pay, Salesforce, Fieldglass, Fairmarket etc

Shift & Work Arrangement

Ability to work 1:00 PM–10:00 PM shift; shift allowance provided per company policy. 60/40 hybrid working arrangement.
