We are seeking for a Senior Solution Designer (Finance) candidate who will be responsible for the overall strategy, governance, and evolution of financial systems (mainly SAP S4HANA and others) across the Singtel group, ensuring these systems are secure, well‑managed by third‑party vendors, and consistently adhere to industry best practices. The role requires close collaboration with Finance business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs and add tangible value. The candidate will oversee project delivery and drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring systems and processes are scalable, flexible, and capable of supporting future business growth. Additionally, the role involves governing the architecture and design, formalising standards, and proactively optimising processes to maintain operational excellence and best‑in‑class capabilities.

The SAP S4HANA modules in scope are mainly SAP FICO (CO-PA, CCA, PCA, PS, AP, AR, AM, GL, RE‑FX, SL) and SAP BPC. Non‑SAP applications include Sungard AvantGard Treasury.

Make an Impact by:
  • Domain Ownership: Establish and oversee a balanced IT project portfolio that meets business objectives and align the strategic plans of both IT and the business. Develop and align a 3‑year roadmap for the Singtel group’s financial systems with the business’ strategy. Approve all changes and projects in the financial systems. Ensure that systems, solutions, services, processes are aligned.
  • Client Facing: Establish regular meetings with stakeholders to build up trust, increase collaboration, and IT presence in the eyes of the stakeholders. Provide consultation to business to mature business ideas or provide expert recommendations to stimulate business needs.
  • Project Ownership: Deliver projects with clearly defined and measurable benefits to the business. Deliver projects on time, in scope, and below budget.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure that systems and services are running according to agreed SLAs. Constantly deliver improvement initiatives that add value to both IT and the business.
  • Team Management: Manage outsourced Application Managed Services (AMS) resources to ensure they deliver the expected L2 support to end users.
Skills for Success:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, IT or any relevant fields.
  • At least 6 years of hands‑on experience with core SAP FICO modules, including Accounts Payable (AP) especially on banking related interfaces, Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets (FA), Project Systems (PS), and Credit Management.
  • Experience in InvoiceNOW, and other tax or legal solutions is a bonus.
  • Strong project management capabilities to lead and deliver complex initiatives are required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing SAP teams (e.g., AMS teams) is highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience in S/4HANA implementation, ideally with prior roles in leading consulting firms.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams, including technical consultants, functional consultants, and business users, ensuring successful solution delivery.
