Job summary

Mission Consultancy Services Sdn Bhd, based in Malaysia, is seeking a QA Tester to join our software testing team. You will perform manual and automated testing, participate in agile ceremonies, and ensure delivery of high-quality web, API, and mobile applications.

Responsibilities include designing and executing test scripts, analyzing defects, and collaborating with developers and stakeholders to drive issues to resolution across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• ISTQB foundation qualification or equivalent.
• 2+ years of expertise in manual and automated IT software testing and providing 3rd level support to customers.
• Experience with automation testing software (e.g., Selenium).
• Experience in an agile environment.
• Experience testing web applications, APIs and mobile applications.
• Experience with JMeter Script.
• Experience with Shell Scripts.
• Experience with Java, C, C++, Python or similar languages.
• Experience with Test Rail.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Meet with system users to understand the scope of projects.
• Actively participate in the team, including attending weekly meetings; be an expert user of the system.
• Carry out stress testing, performance testing, functional testing and scalability testing.
• Develop automated testing.
• Provide input to technical writers.
• Write, execute and manage test scripts that mitigate risk.
• Run manual and automated tests.
• Test in different environments including web and mobile.
• Troubleshoot, verify and test to validate possible defects.
• Promptly and efficiently triage incidents, incident management and resolution.
• Log, monitor, manage and progress all incidents using project management tools.
• Work closely with developers to identify and resolve issues.
• Report progress and identify escalations and remove obstacles that might hinder agreed release dates.
• Promote escalation for level 3 incidents.
• Undertake administrative tasks related to the job role.
• Work with software developers and project support teams.
• Work towards departmental and project deadlines.
• Provide objective feedback to software development team and other stakeholders.
• Present findings to software development and business user teams.
• Work on multiple projects at one time and to deadlines.
• Develop tools within scope of expertise.
• Liaise with teams in other parts of the world.
• Communicate findings to technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Required to travel locally and overseas.
• Take ownership of proactive application alerts and resolve the application issue or elevate to 4th level if an application, database or environment defect is recognised.

Requirements
