This position is associated with Altera which prioritizes customers with end-to-end FPGAs, accessible AI, software, and supply resilience. Specifically, you will be part of Altera Software, IP and Solutions (SIPS) DevOps Team. As a Python Developer, you will work on building and maintaining high-quality software solutions using Python. This role involves hands‑on coding, debugging, testing, and implementing features that meet business requirements and acceptance criteria. You will collaborate closely with other developers, testers, and cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into efficient, scalable, and reliable software. You are expected to follow coding best practices, contribute to improving software quality, and participate in team discussions to refine designs and solutions. This position is ideal for individuals with strong Python skills who want to further develop their expertise in software development while contributing to impactful projects in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in building large-scale software applications and driving architectural convergence
• Strong proficiency in Python, including but not limited to developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software using Python programming language
• Strong GitHub expertise, including repository management and revision control best practices
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and Git-based workflows
• Familiarity with Configuration-as-Code workflows in Jenkins and GitHub
• Hands‑on experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
• Strong background in test‑driven development (TDD)

• Full‑stack experience—understanding the boundaries between application layers in enterprise cloud solutions
• Proven ability to lead technical teams, mentor developers, and collaborate across functions.
• Proficiency in API design and RESTful API development
• Exposure to common and emerging API development practices such as FastAPI, Litestar to name a few, including but not limited to gRPC
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts and their integration into applications can be beneficial
