Job summary

Beyondsoft (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Software and Hardware Tester for gaming products to perform end-to-end testing on devices and peripherals.

You will write test plans, run PC-based tests, and verify firmware and drivers while coordinating with engineering teams and APAC colleagues across time zones. Mentoring interns and delivering release-ready reports are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Familiar with system benchmarking and performance testing tools.
• Exposure to software and hardware testing, ideally on gaming peripherals such as controllers, keyboards, mice, and headsets.
• Familiar with defect tracking tools (Jira, TestRail, Bugzilla).
• Good troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Comfortable working with overseas teams across APAC and across different time zones.
• At least 2 years of testing experience, with some experience guiding interns or junior testers.

Responsibilities

• Use benchmarking tools such as PassMark, PCMark, and 3DMark for performance and stress testing.
• Log and track defects using Jira, TestRail, or Bugzilla.
• Work with engineering and firmware teams to resolve issues.
• Work with overseas teams across APAC such as China and Singapore on test coordination and issue follow up.
• Prepare test reports and release readiness updates.
• Guide a small group of interns and junior testers, assign test scope, review their work, track progress, and report test status and release readiness to the Test Lead or Project Manager
