Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a social media assistant to create engaging posts, schedule content, and monitor social channels. The role includes community management, basic reporting, and collaboration with marketing and design teams.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience, excellent English and Bahasa Malaysia, and a solid grasp of digital marketing concepts. This is a full-time on-site position in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Able to speak in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Knowledgeable about social media platforms and tools and understand how social media adds value to a business/brand.
• Entrepreneurial in approach and a savvy value-added thinker.
• Industry knowledge of Web 2.0 and social media platforms, technologies and challenges.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure with confidentiality.
• Strong understanding of online marketing concepts and strategies.
• Energetic and digitally savvy with a broad range of social media activities.

Responsibilities

• Write and design posts, including captions, graphics, and videos aligned with the brand.
• Schedule posts using social media tools for optimal times.
• Assist in brainstorming based on trends and company initiatives.
• Engage with followers, respond to comments and DMs to build loyalty.
• Monitor conversations and track relevant mentions and hashtags.
• Support customer service via social channels and escalate complex issues.
• Track metrics and prepare basic reports on engagement, reach and impressions.
• Stay updated on trends, industry news and competitors’ activities.
• Assist in campaign planning, launch and monitoring of paid or organic campaigns.
• Coordinate with marketing, design and PR teams to support broader efforts.
• Maintain social media calendar and assist with influencer research and content ideas.
