Social Media & Influencer Marketing Executive
This role will support content planning, social media activities, and influencer marketing to drive brand awareness, engagement, and in-store/ECOMM traffic across key platforms. Responsible in managing Malaysia/Singapore social media presence while supporting SEA direction, ensuring content aligns with JD Sports' brand values and marketing roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all social media accounts across the region (MY/SG/TH), with a primary focus on Malaysia/Singapore platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok)
- Lead the development and execution of social media strategies to build brand awareness, drive engagement, and position JD Sports as a top-of-mind brand in the market.
- Create and execute content strategies that deliver engaging, creative, and innovative content to grow followers, reach, and engagement across all channels.
- Develop creative briefs and collaborate closely with the creative team to produce compelling, on‑brand visuals, captions, and motion content.
- Plan and manage influencer marketing campaigns—including influencer sourcing, outreach, briefing, coordination, content approvals, and performance tracking—whether managed in‑house or via agency support.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of campaigns and always‑on content across social, influencer, and retail media channels, providing actionable insights for optimization.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (e.g., Multichannel, Retail, Buying, and Merchandising) to align social plans with product launches, promotional campaigns, and broader brand messaging.
- Stay up‑to‑date on industry trends, platform updates, and competitor activity to inform strategic planning and content development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in social media, influencer marketing, content creation, or a creative agency
- Solid understanding of social media management (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) and best practices, with hands‑on experience
- Good understanding of social media metrics, KPIs, and basic analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics)
- Creative, with a strong sense of visual storytelling and basic experience with video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Pro)
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and with various stakeholders
- Strong “can-do” attitude, with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced retail environment and a passion for sports, fashion, and social trends
- Experience with Canva or Adobe Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus.
